Join SAR

Utah County Sheriff Search and Rescue trains members in core rescue skills like rope systems, basic emergency medicine, and tracking. Beyond that, the team also relies on special teams for more specialized field response.

One of the strengths of serving on this team is the chance to contribute in different ways and continue learning across multiple rescue disciplines.

Application Process

The team is currently accepting applications for new members.

  • Applicants should be Utah County residents.
  • Applications are due at the end of September.
  • Selected applicants are typically notified in October.
  • Interviews usually take place in November.
  • Applicants must be 21 or older.
  • A full background check is required.
